The self proclamado “propheta en su tierra” is going around saying that he has slain the Reggaeton genre with his “romantic style”. He is prepping to record a remix album in which there will be a collaboration with Rihanna.
In his own words “Nació el romantic style y se cayó el reggaeton en Estados Unidos”
Now in our opinion: Why the hell is it que cuando un artista comes out and is helped so much by a certain demographic or category of music they tend to shoot it down or stray from it like its all good? <cough> Calle 13 <cough> This dude is delusional and I hope que cuando vaya a participar in a Reggaeton concert they phone check his ass. This coming from a skinny, light skinned Panamanian guy who outside of the US calls himself NIGGA (come again?!), has one hit song and is now the self proclaimed “prophet of his country”. Don’t forget those that came antes que tu (Ruben Blades, El General, Rabanes, Nando Boom, etc.).
Consejo: Wise up and don’t bite the hand (genre, category, movement, whatever!) that feeds you papi. It is not a good look!
